Went to watch Star Trek last night with a few of the SMASH! people.

Was an excellent movie and am absolutely giddy.

Can I just say wow?

I've managed to set up my account, import my journal and start getting settled within 10 minutes.

Dreamwidth...my love is growing in leaps and bounds.

Behold, the microwave brownie of awesome.

I got bored and felt like baking. I curse the people who introduced me to the wonder of baking with a microwave. I find myself getting creative with the ingredients when I have to make do with what's in the pantry. Tastes really nice though. Very moist and rich. Probably didn't really need to add the chunks of chocolate. Very rich by itself and the chocolate migrated to the centre for some reason anyway.

Next time, I think I'll add chopped walnuts, skip the extra chocolate and place it in a square dish as opposed to the round dish. Not to mention cut it so it looks like a brownie. As it is, it looks like a giant cake-cookie.

My brother had a craving for cake and I wanted to try making one in the microwave. Since we had no eggs, milk but everything else I adapted a vegan cake recipe to make this.
1 cup self raising flour
1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup Milo/cocoa
chocolate chunks

In a stone bowl, mix everything but the chunks of chocolate first until it's a smooth mixture. Fold in the chunks of chocolate. Stick the bowl in the microwave for 3.5 minutes. The time is based on a 1200W microwave. Use a palette knife to go around the edges before turning over onto a plate.

Tastes best when eaten warm. It's preferable to make small batches as it dries out when put in the fridge.

This is what happens when you are an exec, have too many tasks but are afraid to look at them and spend the night gasbagging away.
Couldn't find the crepe pan, so used a simmer pan and I think I might have turned the heat up too high. Am used to making crepes not pancakes. I was trying to make them 12cm like the ones that work sells pre-packaged. Their pancakes are artificial but very round and thick.
Misjudged the bubbling and when to turn over. I should have gotten a bigger/deeper dish rather than the teacup dish because I definitely did not expect it to melt that fast.

I am terrified.

I found myself singing along to a Miley Cyrus song.

For all my friends.

First time trying illusion knitting or shadow knitting. The principle behind it is interesting and it's just plain cool. Made using this pattern.
The heart is seen when at an angle, otherwise all you see are red and white stripes when it's flat.

Aaaah Sheldon....
How awesome you are.

Today's episode was love <3
Debating about Sheldon's orientation.
"Does he do guys, girls, sock puppets?"
And you couldn't help but let out an "Awwww.." when he was forced to skip Halo night and paintball because of his stalker. And his complete obliviousness when he picked up another one.

FYI, this show is so love, I'm secretly turning into a Sheldon x Penny shipper.

Wishes of prosperity and longevity to you all for the Year of the Ox or Buffalo....depending on where you're from.

*is currently laughing herself sick*

Big Bang Theory is love.
Sheldon is love.
Sheldon unknowingly picking up a guy and getting his phone number in a misguided attempt to stop Penny from bothering him with her newfound addiction to online gaming is LOVE.
Sheldon getting on swimmingly with whatshisname despite his social ineptitude and big gay misunderstanding is... *busts a gut laughing*

Sheldon ♥

Possibly one of the best episodes to date.
This series is awesome.

Aaargh....

Seriously...this has not been my week.
Was stung by a bug that I think was a wasp today. My thumb is so sore now, still inflamed and swollen.

Not very happy.

Went window shopping and to see Madagascar 2 with [livejournal.com profile] arccie today. To sum up the day, ice cream, squooshable movie and "serious" discussion.

I went with the intention to window shop but ended up splurging on games at EB and eyes, styrofoam balls, hooks and yarn at Spotlight.
*hangs head in shame*
I'm not a very good window shopper.
Was and am still extremely tempted to get AoM for DS. Am very curious to see how it differs from the PC game.

Madagascar 2 is a really good movie.
Shorter than the first but still hilarious. I'm fairly sure it's not just me but the amount of innuendo in this one had me in fits. I just love the look on Alex and Marty's face when Gloria and Melman get mushy. It's reminiscent to the awkward look little boys get when things get a little too touchy feely for them or they think there are cooties in the air.
A little disappointed that the penguins didn't get to have as much fun but they were still squooshable.
Baby Alex is so dopey and adorable.

Gah...just finished watching Braveheart.

Curse all the good movies that have me crying throughout the entire film.
Pearl Harbor being the only exception because I didn't like the movie and yet still cried through it >_<
I blame all the foreshadowing.

Pretty much the book I am currently cooing over at the moment. Picked it up on Thursday. It's not one of their pattern books but comics and photo-stories based on their plush characters.

Also made a trip in today to try and get the new Japanese ami book but couldn't find it. So instead splurged on the first 4 seasons of NCIS.
-_- I still have yet to watch SWAK which is pretty sad considering fic with Tony whumpage usually makes mention of this episode.

Made with beef this time around.
Used half the amount of coconut this time...probably because I used a pot as opposed to a wok. And turned out much better. So much spicier this time around.
Plated up with rice.

Mould porn.

Oh how I love NCIS.
